Bengali Cholar Dal Recipe:
Dal is one of the common foods for Bengali people. Almost everyday they like to eat it in dinner and launch. There have different kinds of Dal. But now here we talk about Cholar Dal. Its easy to cook just follow the recipe. 










Ingredients of Cholar Dal:

250 gm Bengal gram divide (cholar dal)
4-5 cup water
1 table spoon ghee
5-6 green chilies slit
3 bay leaves
1/4 coconut
1 tea spoon garam masala powder
1 table spoon coriander powder
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 tea spoon turmeric powder
1 table spoon cumin powder
3-4 tea spoon sugar
1 table spoon raisins
Salt to taste



Method of Preparation (How to Cook):

01. First wash the dal finely and boil it with 4-5 cup of water.
02. Now add turmeric, cumin, garam masala, red chili powder and also add 5-6 pieces slit green chilies.
03. Add salt and sugar to depend on your taste.
04. Mix the all ingredients finely and stir fry it till the dal is soft and thick.
05. Now heat up 1 table spoon ghee in a pen or korai. And mix in bay leaves and garam masala with ghee. When it stops spluttering mix in it to the dal. Mix it thoroughly.
06. Now cut the coconut into small dices and fry in ghee till light brown color. And mix the coconut with dal. Stir little time. Remove Dal from heat.
07. Now Cholar Dal is ready to serve. Serve hot along with luchi.
