Chanar Dalna is a delicious Bengali cuisine. It’s very testy and healthy for vegetarian people. Just follow the given recipe you can cook it home.
Ingredients for Chanar Dalna:
250 gm cubed cottage paneer (cheese)
1 medium cubed potato
1 table spoon ghee
1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder
1 tea spoon ginger paste
2 - 3 green chilies
1 & 1/2 tea spoon cumin seed paste
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds
1/2 tea spoon sugar
1/2 tea spoon garam masala powder
1 cup water
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method of Preparation (How to Cook):
01. At first heat up oil and fry the potatoes lightly and keep aside.
02. Fry the paneer(cheese) in the same oil and put it in warm water.
03. Now heat up the ghee in a vessel, mix in the cumin seeds.
04. Now add little water, ginger juice and turmeric powder in the cumin paste and mix finely.
05. Stir fry for 2 minutes.
06. Add green chillies, garam masala powder, sugar and salt with potatoes and cover and stir fry till the potatoes are tender.
07. Now take off the paneer (cheese) from the water and mix in to the potatoes.
08. Add milk and the remaining water and allow it to simmer (boil slowly at low temperature) for another 2 to 3 minutes.
09. Remove it from heat and serve hot.
